I started attending Alexis’s yoga classes in 2002. At the time, it was the yoga craze hitting the world and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The yoga poses in the class achieved all the physical aspects of flexibility and strength, but what I wasn’t expecting was how Alexis took it that one step further and also focused on the mind.
Attending Alexis’s yoga classes has taught me the concept of “conscious presence” and Alexis encourages this highly present approach to life to be embraced beyond the class. It has helped me manage very stressful situations in my life. My quality of life and overall mental and physical wellbeing have improved as a direct result of attending Alexis’s yoga classes.
Alexis is warm, friendly and genuinely cares for the wellbeing of the people in her class. Alexis offers a range of options in her classes which makes it suitable for all people, regardless if they are new or more experienced in yoga. Alexis is able to effectively read the energy of the class and uses this to guide the class.
Over the years, Alexis’s yoga style has evolved and now embraces yoga in its truest sense – being present in mind and body. Thirteen years on from that first yoga class and I still look forward to attending Alexis’s yoga class every week. It is an essential aspect to my overall wellbeing. Committing one hour each week to attend Alexis’s yoga class is in fact committing one hour to myself for ensuring that I continue to invest in my wellbeing.
Alexis' yoga classes have taught me to be more mindful of the way I am using my body, especially when I am exercising. Each class seems to stretch parts of my body that feel like they haven’t been stretched for years, as well as improving my strength. Every class is different, and they seem to go past in a flash, always leaving me feeling calm and rejuvenated. The only constant in each lesson is Alexis’s reminder about the connection between mind and body, and I have found this beneficial both within the yoga class and beyond it. Also, Alexis is an extremely compassionate and perceptive person, and if you ask her a question or speak to her about an issue, she always listens intently and brings her knowledge and skills to assist you. I couldn’t recommend her more highly as a practitioner of mind/body yoga.
I have known Alexis as a yoga teacher for more than 8 years. During her classes I was able to learn the main thing - how you can listen to your body. I had a real problem to do it in the beginning but finally I managed to learn how to switch off from all worries and concerns which made me experience a true and loving feeling of my body. In addition, last year I started to attend Sacred Esoteric Healing sessions and it has been both a powerful and life changing experience. These sessions have been very different depending on my emotional and physical state. Alexis has a gift to be able to tune to what you need on particular occasions so at the end of the session you feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Both the yoga classes and the Esoteric Healing sessions have supported me greatly over the years as I have had many personal problems with sickness and loss of loved ones. I would strongly recommend Alexis’s yoga classes for everyday life and Esoteric Healing sessions if you need support and healing. And who does not need heeling?

How do you describe a person and a journey that has had a truly profound and completely life opening/expanding/changing effect on your life, when words can’t describe either adequately? How do you even begin to express the deep gratitude you feel towards the person who taught you how to tap into the purest form of love that always is and always was within and that is thus always within reach, that is unconditional and soft, that is so beautiful it sometimes makes you feel that there isn’t enough room for it in your body, that doesn’t require anything but me showing me up for me in every moment and making the loving choice to be with my body, plain and simple? In the year that Alexis has been my yoga mentor, in group sessions and in private sessions in my home, every single aspect of my life has changed for the better! She showed the way in a non-judgmental, loving, connected, in tune, easy and accessible way! I feel so very blessed for having joined paths with Alexis and for having learnt about true self-love and how truly transformative that is under her guidance. Yoga classes with Alexis on Saturday mornings have been a great pleasure to me for several years now. Alexis is a lovely, devoted teacher who makes everybody feel at home immediately. Her lessons are well prepared, varied, invigorating and yet calming. She is able to explain in clear terms what yoga is all about and she makes you feel you can do it, no matter who you are. Each lesson brings me a new experience and a step closer achieving harmony of body and mind. I highly recommend Alexis.
Alexis has been my yoga teacher of choice for about 10 years. In that time she has grown her teaching style to one with a much gentler approach. I started my yoga practice focussed on perfection of pose and pushing my body constantly to achieve the next level. Alexis has taught me that while the poses are beneficial to me, the main focus is on mind/ body connection. So now when I do an asana I am totally communicating with my body as I stretch. I often leave the class ‘floating on air’ and in a much calmer state than when I arrived.
I have been to a few of Alexis’ counselling sessions and I have noticed that I am much more connected to my feelings and have made a lot of progress in dropping my ‘act’ that everything is ok. I actually enjoy feeling sad occasionally because I feel more real at that time.
Alexis has been my yoga teacher for over 10 years and I feel privileged to have been a part of her journey. She has a natural ability to help everyone reconnect to themselves through her classes which is truly remarkable given the differences in us all. I started doing Alexis’s yoga classes in 1998, and weekly access to her guidance and wisdom have been a valued part of my life ever since.
